²⁷ But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

²⁸ Peter answered, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you across the water.” ²⁹ He said, “Come!” Then Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water toward Jesus.
